About 'Texas Saturday Night'...


Overview

Having enjoyed a successful five-year sojourn at Capitol Records between 1975 & 1980, Gene Watson felt like he needed a change of label, so he joined the MCA Records roster in the latter part of 1980.

The country music success of Gene Watson, on both the singles & album charts in the USA, continued apace with his new label, where he saw the release of six successful albums.

'Texas Saturday Night' contains a selection of tracks from five of these releases
& is a superb celebration of Gene Watson's tenure at the label; the set also represents a classy overview of Gene Watson's very best work for MCA Records.
