About 'Texas Saturday Night'...

Overview
Having enjoyed a successful five-year sojourn at Capitol Records between 1975 & 1980, Gene Watson felt like he needed a change of label, so he joined the MCA Records roster in the latter part of 1980.

The country music success of Gene Watson, on both the singles & album charts in the USA, continued apace with his new label, where he saw the release of six successful albums.

The 'Texas Saturday Night' compilation album, which contains a selection of tracks from five of these releases, is a superb celebration of Gene's time at the label & represents a classy overview of Gene's very best work for MCA Records.

The 'Texas Saturday Night' (compilation) album features tracks which were previously included on the Gene Watson (MCA Records) albums: 'Between This Time & the Next Time' (1981), 'This Dream's on Me' (1982), 'Sometimes I Get Lucky' (1983), 'Little by Little' (1984 & 1990) & 'Heartaches, Love & Stuff' (1984).
