Gene
Watson participated in the taping of the
GAC Master Series
with Bill Cody last Tuesday (25 March 2008); this taping took place in the
hallowed halls of the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville.
Gene Watson's taping of the
GAC Master Series
with Bill Cody will air on GAC TV on Wednesday 2 April 2008 at 10.00am (EST) &
3.00pm (EST) and again on Friday 18 April 2008 at 10.00am (EST) & 3.00pm (EST).

It was great week for me. It was a great honour for me to make a
contribution to the Country Music Hall of Fame Museum. It's extremely
gratifying to know that some of my memorabilia will now be preserved in this
great place & lovingly preserved for eternity.
I'm deeply humbled to have my personal mementos displayed alongside those of my
own personal heroes such as Hank Williams, Lefty Frizzell, Ray Price & so many
others.
If you are in Nashville, TN please do make a trip to the Hall of Fame as you
will enjoy all that it has to offer.

Last
week, on Tuesday 25 March 2008, Gene Watson participated in the taping of the
GAC Master Series with Bill Cody; this taping,
which was proceeded by a special featuring Kathy Mattea, took
place in the hallowed halls of the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville.

This special show will be broadcast this Sunday (30 March 2008) at 10.00am (CST)
/ 11.00am (EST) exclusively on GAC-TV when you'll have the opportunity to watch
Gene Watson as he makes a very special contribution to the Country Music Hall of
Fame & Museum's Frist Library & Archives, full details of which you can find
here.
During this show, Gene Watson will speak about his legendary career and, of
course, a Gene Watson video will be included too. You can find full details of GAC-TV show times
here.
Please note that the
Official Gene Watson Site is being redeveloped at the moment and, as a result,

Gene
Watson made a special guest appearance last night (Saturday 22 March 2008) on The Midnite
Jamboree, a show broadcast (after The Grand Ole Opry broadcast) on
Nashville's Country Legend
WSM 650AM. Gene's appearance was to help honour his friend Tony Booth
who had been a member of Gene's famed Farewell Party Band in the 1980s.
The broadcast will be added to
The Midnite Jamboree
archives soon & you'll have an opportunity to listen then; check out this

Tony Booth hosted the broadcast & Gene performed
'Should I Come Home (or should I go crazy)'. In his introduction, Tony
mentioned this website
(The Gene Watson Fan Site) & the fact that he had been asked for a Gene Watson

Tony recorded four of Dave Lindsey's songs back in the 1980s for an album
project; the album was produced by Gene Watson but it was never released.

It is with regret that we report that Gene
Watson is still suffering from a bad case of
flu.
As a consequence, Gene
Watson & The Farewell Party Band will not be
appearing tonight (Saturday 1 March 2008) at
The Performing Arts Center at Chickasha High
School in Chickasha, Oklahoma [website]
- apologies
to those patrons who were planning to attend the performance.
It
was also with regret that we recently reported that Gene
Watson would not be participating in the taping of the
GAC Master Series on Monday 25 February
2008, a taping that was due to take place at
the hallowed halls of the Country Music Hall of
Fame in Nashville.
However,
there is good news - Gene
Watson will now participate in the taping of the
GAC Master Series on Tuesday 25 March
2008, a taping that will take place at
the hallowed halls of the Country Music Hall of
Fame in Nashville.
It will also be on Tuesday 25 March
2008 that Gene Watson will grace the hallowed
stage of The Grand Ole Opry in
Nashville - please note that the Farewell Party Band will not be appearing on
the night.
It is expected that an appearance on
Nashville's Country Legend
WSM 650AM along with two more interviews for Tuesday 25 March 2008 will also be
rescheduled.
