It was in June 2008 that it was announced that Ray Griff was suffering from throat cancer & that he would be undergoing chemotherapy; Sean Brady wished Ray, his wife Trudy & family all his best wishes in June 2008.

Ray Griff was the first person to contribute a quote about Gene Watson for the special 'Peers' section of the Gene Watson Fan Site, hence the reason for posing a Ray Griff-related question for the competition.

The 'This is our time' single was shipped to radio on Tuesday 24 June 2008 & was expected to go for radio adds on Monday 14 July 2008.

The 'David Frizzell & Friends' television show was scheduled to be broadcast on the RFD-TV network on Monday 1 September 2008.
