Today, it was announced that music publisher Bob
Webster had passed away - he
was 77.

Bob Webster was a longtime associate of Jack Clement &
had first worked with Jack in Beaumont,
Texas during the early 1960s, and had since administered a catalogue of hits
penned by the likes of Clement, Allen Reynolds, Jim Rushing & Bob McDill.
In Beaumont, Bob managed a favourite country hangout called The Tap Room.

Bob Webster co-produced (with Russ Reeder) Gene Watson's 'Love
in the Hot Afternoon' (Capitol Records, 1975)
& 'Because You Believed in Me'
(Capitol Records, 1976).

Bob Webster also co-produced (with Russ Reeder) the Gene Watson track 'Desperation'
which was included on 'Paper Rosie'
(Capitol Records, 1977).

Bob Webster also produced the Gene Watson track 'He little thinged her out of
my arms' which was included on 'Beautiful
Country' (Capitol Records,
1978).

Tonight, Gene Watson graced the hallowed stage of the Grand Ole Opry at the
Ryman in Nashville.
Gene was backed by the Opry House Band & performed two songs ('Fourteen
carat mind' & 'Farewell party').

Today, Sean Brady purchased a web template for this site from
RTB Wizards & began
work on a complete revamp of the site. Sean plans to make the site easier to
update & to offer cross-browser compatibility.

A date for the launch of the new site had not been decided upon
at this time. The present
version of the site would remain online while this new site
was being
developed & would be updated accordingly.

Today, it was announced that Gene Watson's concert appearance on Saturday 17 February 2007 at Nashville
North in Taylorville, Illinois had been officially moved to Saturday 10
March 2007. This change in Gene's tour schedule was as a result of ice & snow
in Illinois.
However, Gene Watson still
appeared on the hallowed stage of the Grand Ole Opry at the
Ryman in Nashville on the night of Friday 16 February 2007. The only change to
this scheduled date was that Gene's Farewell Party Band
would not be appearing - instead, Gene
worked with the Opry House Band.

Tuesday 13
Today, it was announced that Gene Watson's Farewell Party Band
had both lost & gained a member.
Rick Hawthorne had left (&
was wished well in all his future endeavours) &
Steve Anderson had joined. Steve
was a very accomplished guitar player; he
had played with Rick Trevino's band,
had played tour dates with Trent Willmon &
had also played with George Strait's famous Ace in the Hole Band.

Today, it was announced that Gene Watson
would grace the hallowed stage of the Grand Ole Opry on Friday 16
February 2007 at the Ryman in Nashville. It was
also announced that Gene would perform two songs &
that his appearance would take place at 9.00pm.

Today, it was announced that Gene Watson would grace the hallowed stage of
the Grand Ole Opry on Friday 16
February 2007 at the Ryman in Nashville. It was
expected that Terri Clark, Mountain Heart, Little
Jimmy Dickens, Lorrie Morgan & Sammy Kershaw would also grace the stage on
the same night.

Today, it was announced that Gene Watson
would be interviewed by Big Steve Kelly on WMIS Radio at 4.40pm
on Tuesday 6 February 2007.
WMIS Radio, based in Natchez, Mississippi broadcast on 1240kHz AM (Medium
Wave).
