Today, Dave Lindsey announced
that his proposed project (produced by Dave Lindsey)
would feature Gene Watson performing Willie Nelson's
classic 'Pretty paper'.

This proposed project
would be titled 'Still Believing in Christmas' &
would be released on Seasong Records in late October/early November
2006.

Today, Sean Brady received an email from Dave
Lindsey in Nashville, in which he thanked him for
his dedication in providing this site for Gene
Watson's fans.
Dave informed Sean that he had worked for Gene for
several years in the 1980s & that Gene had recorded several of his
compositions ('This torch that I carry for you', 'What she don't know won't
hurt her', 'You put out an old flame last night', 'I guess you had to be
there', 'Independence day', 'With any luck at all' & 'Somewhere over you').

Dave also informed Sean that he was producing a
new project which he was very excited about. It was on
Wednesday 12 April 2006 that Dave produced
a recording by Gene Watson performing the Willie
Nelson classic 'Pretty paper', which would be included on a new Christmas
project due to be released in late Autumn/Fall 2006.
Dave also stated that the recording session, which took place at the Hilltop
Studio in Nashville, went great & that Gene's contribution was one of the
crown jewels of the album.
The seasonal release would also feature cuts by
Lynn Anderson, David Frizzell, Lorrie Morgan, TG Sheppard,
Helen Cornelius,
Porter Wagoner, Kelly Lang, Crystal Gayle, Little Jimmy Dickens, Daryle
Singletary, Bobby Bare & Bill Anderson.
In closing, Dave Lindsey thanked Sean Brady for doing
such a good job with the website & offered to help in any way he could.

Today, Gene Watson recorded Willie Nelson's 'Pretty paper' at the Hilltop
Studio in Nashville, Tennessee. The recording session was overseen by Dave
Lindsey, who was producing the
session for inclusion in a Christmas compilation project, which
would be released in the Autumn/Fall of 2006.

This seasonal release would also feature cuts by
Lynn Anderson, David Frizzell, Lorrie Morgan, TG Sheppard, Kelly Lang,
Porter Wagoner,
Helen Cornelius, Little Jimmy Dickens, Crystal Gayle, Daryle
Singletary, Bobby Bare & Bill Anderson.
