Having travelled from Atlanta, Georgia on Thursday 29 July 2010,
Gene Watson arrived in Dublin in the Republic of Ireland (on Friday 30 July
2010) & made his way to The Clanree Hotel Complex in Letterkenny, Co.
Donegal.

It was at the Clanree Hotel Complex in Letterkenny, on the evening of Friday
30 July 2010, that Gene Watson undertook a rehearsal with his band in
preparation for his appearance as the 'Headline Act' at Country Fest 2010
(on Saturday 31 July 2010).

On Saturday 31 July 2010, Gene Watson was
interviewed by Pio McCann 'live' on Highland Radio at a specially
constructed on-air studio at Country Fest 2010 at the Clanree Hotel Complex in Letterkenny,
Co. Donegal, Republic of Ireland at 1.20pm (Irish/UK time).

Pio McCann began the interview by playing 'A taste
of the truth', the title track from Gene Watson's 2009 album 'A
Taste of the Truth' for
Shanachie Records.
During the course of the interview, Pio & Gene discussed Gene's rejuvenated
career (following the release of 'In
A Perfect World' for
Shanachie Records
in 2007), the respect he garners from peers & fans
alike, recording with Rhonda
Vincent, the continuing endurance of the
classic 'Farewell party'
& participating in the recording of a track for Randy Travis' 25th
Anniversary album which is due to be released in 2011.

On Tuesday 17 August 2010, the Gene Watson Fan Site received the following
message from Roger Peck in Surrey, England:
'Dear Sean,
It is great to see the details from two of Gene’s England concerts. I
attended the tour’s final date at The Cresset in Peterborough having
travelled from my home in Surrey.
Gene is an icon as far as I am concerned & I am so very pleased to say that
he received a standing ovation from the audience at The Cresset. It
was an excellent evening made even more enjoyable by some great steel guitar
playing from Sarah Jory & a great backing band.
Gene was in fine voice & I particularly liked the way he introduced each
song with a story about how he came to record it.
A very, very enjoyable evening with Gene & I hope that he comes back next
year as he mentioned during the evening.
I think the website is great & please feel free to use my comments on
Peterborough if you wish.
Kind regards,
Roger Peck'
