About 'Texas Saturday Night'...
Overview
'Having enjoyed a successful five-year sojourn at Capitol Records between 1975 and 1980, Gene Watson felt like he needed a change of label, so he joined the MCA Records roster in the latter part of 1980.
The country music success of Gene Watson, on both the singles and album charts in the USA, continued apace with his new label, where he saw the release of six successful albums.
'Texas Saturday Night' contains a selection of tracks from five of these releases and is a superb celebration of Gene Watson's tenure at the label; the set also represents a classy overview of Gene Watson's very best work for MCA Records'.

'Texas Saturday Night' features tracks which were previously included on the Gene Watson (MCA Records) albums: 'Between This Time & The Next Time' (MCA Records, 1981), 'This Dream's on Me' (MCA Records, 1982), 'Sometimes I Get Lucky' (MCA Records, 1983), 'Little by Little' (MCA Records, 1984 and 1990) and 'Heartaches, Love & Stuff' (MCA Records, 1984).
