About Susanna Van Tassel...

Susanna Van Tassel earned initial respect within the neo-traditionalist country music scene during the early 2000s for both her song-writing and her singing.

Originally rooted in California, Susanna moved from Santa Rosa to Austin, Texas in 1995 in order to further her career as a country music artist.

While she was in Austin, Susanna polished her craft, infusing her neo-traditionalist song-writing style with a hearty dose of honky tonk and incorporating occasional old-timey songs into her performances.

Following contributions to compilation albums such as 'Pushing The Norton' (Heyday Records, 1995) and 'The Edge Of Country', Susanna Van Tassel saw the release of her debut album 'The Heart I Wear' (Texas Roundup Records, 2000), which was followed by 'My Little Star' (Music Room Records, 2002).
