of America in May 1978.
'The Best of Gene Watson' compilation album includes tracks from
the albums 'Gene Watson' (1969 &
1973), 'Love in the Hot Afternoon'
(1975), 'Because You Believed in
Me' (1976) & 'Paper Rosie'
(1977).
'The Best of Gene Watson' compilation album also includes two
tracks ('Shadows on the wall' & 'John's back in town'), both of
which were previously released on 45rpm vinyl single only. The
latter track ('John's back in town') was co-written by
Bill Mack &
Waylon Jennings.
