Aaron's chief country music influences included Jimmie Rodgers, Hank Thompson & Lefty Frizzell. By the time he was twenty, he was working as a commercial pilot. In 1986, Aaron moved to Nashville, where he eventually became a staff writer at Acuff-Rose. Charley Pride, David Ball & Mark Collie are among those artists who have recorded Aaron's songs.
