About 'Gene Watson: 16 Super Hits'...

Album Overview

Gusto Records, Nashville

Gusto Records is a Nashville-based record company which specialises in reissuing & licensing recordings from its vast catalogue of music from acquired record labels & their own studio recordings.

Around 2005, Gusto Records acquired the back catalogue of Step One Records, an independent record label which had operated out of Nashville between 1984 & 1997 & which had been founded by Ray Pennington & Curtis Potter.

'Gene Watson: 16 Super Hits' contains some very fine material from Gene Watson's time with Step One Records in the mid-to-late 1990s; one track has also been taken from Gene's time with Broadland Records/Mercury Canada in 1992.
